Robert Wachtel, Esq. is the founder and principal of Robert Wachtel Law firm. Mr. Wachtel’s practice specializes in Consumer Bankruptcy Law and Residential Real Estate.

Mr. Wachtel has been a practicing attorney in New Jersey for over 40 years where he has primarily served working class and middle-class individuals in all general legal matters. For the past 22 years, he has specialized in Consumer Bankruptcy Law and Residential Real Estate. Currently, his practice is focused on helping people in New Jersey file for bankruptcy, and on representing residential Buyers and Sellers on the sale or purchase of one and two family homes. He has been instrumental in helping hundreds of families save their homes with Chapter 13 Plans, or obtain the fresh start in life that a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy affords to those under an insurmountable burden of debt.

Robert (Bob) Wachtel earned his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University and his J.D. degree New York University School of Law. His undergraduate major was in Philosophy, which to this day remains a passionate pursuit.

When he is not practicing law and serving clients, Bob enjoys playing pickle ball and tennis, as well as spending time with his oldest daughter and granddaughter in Kalamazoo, Michigan. His younger daughter lives closer in Fairfield, New Jersey and is expecting her first child this September.
